Lab welcomes Marion Johnson and Alexander March

The Morsut Lab is pleased to welcome two new members: Marion Johnson and Alexander March.

Marion attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where she acquired a bachelor’s degree in biology and completed an undergraduate thesis investigating the role of a cellular organizer on spider development in black and brown widows. A long-time resident of Southern California, she still enjoys discovering new parts of LA with her husband and young daughter.

Alexander earned his bachelor of science degree in microbiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and his master of science in molecular biotechnology from the University of Helsinki in Finland. His scientific adventures ranged from DNA analysis of Amazon rainforest soil, to testing novel small molecules on cardiomyocytes created by directed differentiation. Outside the lab, he enjoys telemark skiing and hiking.
