Laboratory for Tissue Development Engineering
Our lab uses synthetic biology tools and approaches to develop the next generation of stem cell-based regenerative medicine therapies. With a blend of molecular biology, protein engineering, cell biology, computational biology and tissue engineering, we program cells to build tissues of the desired structure and function in an iterative research cycle.
On another level, the mission of the lab is training the next generation of scientists and leaders in the field of regenerative medicine. The lab is committed to generate the best work environment to make the best science possible, and to foster multidisciplinary research using expertise from engineering, developmental biology, medical science and computer science.
